The Death of Pi Tial Tang & CCN Condolence

We are deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely demise of Pi Tial Tang, age 19 and a mother of a 7 months old child who was stabbed to death by her husband, age 31 on August 13, 2010 at their rented apartment in Egersund, Rogaland county.

It is said that the relationship between the pars was a happy relationship that made no suspicion even to their close friends and relatives. According to families of the husband, he underwent psychological and mental disorder on several occasions previously which made him do thing wrong and unexpected actions.  It is also said that he is still taking medication from his family doctor for symptom similar to insomnia.  Pa Hlun is remanded in police custody and undergoing investigation according to a friend who is close to him.

Both local and regional news papers have reported  that the husband has confessed that he was solely responsible for killing of his wife. While some have expressed their anger and desire for a harsh punishment for the killer, victim families have publicly opened up that they forgave him in the name of Gud.

The funeral is set to take place on 26 August at Moi town where the departed mother settled first as a quota refugee from Burma according to an elder, Pu Sui Mang Lian in his message to a group email that read by thousands Chins from around the world.

The death of Pi Tial Tang is not only a great loss for her survived family members, but also a great sadness for all Chins in Norway and around the world. The CCN prays that the soul of the Nu Tang rests in peace and the family members survived have spiritual strength to overcome the trauma.
